Today I'd like to present three European startups. They all try to create depth maps with different technologies. Blickfeld with LiDAR https://www.blickfeld.com/products/ Blickfeld is developing a solid state LiDAR. This is not made for adding depth maps to photos, but I can imagine an LiDAR mounted on a camera like a flash. Update 1: Apples new iPhone has an integrated LiDAR sensor. The nice thing with this solution is, that you only need one shot. The bad thing is, that your resolution will be reduced. In the worst case your image will have 1/9 of you sensor size. Neues Jahr, altes Tutorial. Ich hab ein Tutorial, das ich im Gimpforum vor einiger Zeit geschrieben hatte jetzt auch für das Wiki aufbereitet und eingestellt. Firs of all I have to say, that I've no Apple products and I don't even use Openoffice.org. But that is not the topic of this post. This post is about the Apple Magic Mouse and the OpenOffiveMouse The Magic Mouse looks elegant and has some nice new fancy technology inside. In short it is a nice innovation. (Yes I know that Microsoft presented multi touch mice earlier but they are still not ready to market.)   And now the OpenOffiveMouse. I can't believe that this is not a joke. It looks so unusable. 18 buttons, 52 commands, and a joystick this doesn't sound like solving any problem, this is a new problem.
